We are currently looking to bring on experienced Fully Licensed Therapist to serve as Clinical Director.

DUTIES

The Clinical Director is responsible for the oversight, coordination and function of the facilities Virginia Locations to include (Norfolk, Suffolk, Fredericksburg, and Richmond). Effectively accomplish the goals and objectives set forth by Pathways to Life, Inc. Ensure Pathways to Life, Inc's compliance with all State and Federal regulations.

1.Provides oversight and consultative supervision of all direct care staff, including both administrative and clinical supervision within the agency

2.Actively participate in the consumer intake process by completing Assessments, ISP's and Magellan documentation as required for new intakes and reauthorizations

3.Follow up with Magellan regarding any authorization denials, requests for additional information etc...

4.Review weekly progress notes to ensure quality documentation of services rendered to include auditing of all clinical records

5.Identify organizational, departmental and service training needs within the agency

6.Plan, organize and direct all clinical training activities

7.Conduct clinical orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new employees

8.Establish individualized training plans to strengthen an employee's existing skills or teach new ones

9.Develop and offer supervisory training for staff in supervisory positions

10.Evaluate training effectiveness at least quarterly and submit deficiencies and a quality improvement plan to the Corporate Quality Management/Training Director

11.Ensuring development of a culture of improvement across the entire agency with continuous staff involvement

12.Ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements of local and state agencies

13.Oversee participation and attendance at all Local Human Rights Committee meetings

14.Participates in the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures

15.Analyzes clinical systems throughout the facility and develop integrated reports used to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of direct service staff

16.Represent the organization to governmental agencies, funding agencies, national organizations, and/or the general public including conferences, trainings and other networking opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

1.Licensed mental health professional (LMHP)-a physician, licensed clinical psychologist, licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, or a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist.

2.Have no substantiated findings on the criminal history or central registry background checks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQURIED:

1.Knowledge of child/adolescent and adult mental health/substance abuse disorders and consistent treatment approaches

2.Ability to implement, then convey therapeutic interventions, outcomes and consumer progress

3.Obtain and maintain all certification/training requirements as outlined in Code of Virginia

4.Knowledge of systems-approach to provision of care, and ability to apply this approach within Intensive In-Home and Mental Health Support Services

5.Advanced skills in PC/Word processing/database/spreadsheets/systems, and integrating the advanced skills to produce complex reports and documents

 

6.Ability to apply therapeutic techniques and use good professional judgment

 

7.Detail oriented with the ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision

8.Excellent organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills

9.Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines

10.Ability to meet short and long-term goals and project deadlines

11.Respect for the confidentiality of all communications required within job duties, including client records, documents and electronic transmission by voice, data, and wire

12.Participation and involvement in agency outreach and community events, minimum of twice per year.
