1. Provides oversight and consultative supervision of all direct care staff, including both administrative and clinical supervision within the agency;

2. Actively participate in the consumer intake process by completing Assessments, ISP's and Magellan documentation as required for new intakes and reauthorizations.

3. Follow up with Magellan regarding any authorization denials, requests for additional information etc

4. Review weekly progress notes to ensure quality documentation of services rendered.

5. Provide services to individuals enrolled in Pathways to Life, Inc. Services as needed or required.

6. Implement individualized training plans to strengthen an employee's existing skills or teach new ones;

7. Ensuring development of a culture of improvement across the entire agency with continuous staff involvement.

8. Assists in ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements of local and state agencies.

9. Participates in the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures.

10. Represent the organization to governmental agencies, funding agencies, national organizations, and/or the general public including conferences, trainings and other networking opportunities.

11. Provide Crisis Response and communication in the event of any crisis involving Pathways to Life, Inc. consumers. Assists in the follow-up meetings and ensure that all crisis plan documentation has been updated following a crisis.


1. The Clinical Supervisor will be a Licensed Mental Health Professional and must meet the following criteria:

Licensed mental health professional (LMHP) refers to a physician, licensed clinical psychologist, licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, or a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist. If psychotherapy is to be billed by the LMHP, the therapist must comply with the outpatient psychotherapy criteria outlined in Chapters II, VI, V, and VI of the Psychiatric Services Provider Manual.

2. The Clinical Supervisor will have all required company trainings met within a 15 day period after hire and a tuberculosis screening within a 30 day period after hire.

3. Have no substantiated findings on the criminal history or central registry background checks.

4. All facilities or services shall require that all applicants for employment disclose any criminal conviction. The impact of this information on a decision regarding employment shall be based upon the offense in relationship to the job for which the applicant is applying. Any barrier crime convictions, regardless of when it occurred, will cause an applicant to be ineligible for the position as defined by the Code of Virginia 63.2-1719 and 37.2-314.
