SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the COO, the Compliance Officer ensures compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations throughout the organization. The Compliance Officer will oversee all regulatory visits, plan of correction development and contract completion. As a member of the Leadership team, the Compliance Officer will provide input and ideas during the decision making process for organizational improvements and changes.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

      Compliance / Quality Assurance:

  • Develop, implement and monitor quality assurance and clinical systems to ensure the department is running efficiently and effectively.

 

  1. Responsible for the accurate and timely completion and submission of all regulatory applications/ and facility/endorsement renewals (services, contracts, auth. vendors, MCO).
  2. Act as Corporate Compliance Officer. Monitor all corporate complaints, investigate and resolve all issues in a timely manner.
  3. Oversee and leads all PCG, HMS and other external audits. Assist with CARF audit as requested by CEO.
  4. Oversee QA department to ensure all chart audits, service delivery and documentation are completed in a manner that exceeds documented requirements.
  5. Ensure through frequent communication and documented audit that all clinical supervisions are completed as required and accounted for throughout the organization.
  6. Act as the point of contact in all Plan of Correction's. Designate appropriate staff to assist in the completion, submission, implementation and follow through for all Plan of Corrections.
  7. Lead all internal Provider Monitoring. Will audit Clinical and HR components of each site and will communicate results to Leadership and Site Leaders.
  8. Investigate all consumer related complaints as needed, delegate and oversee the document collection and submission for any complaints from MCO or other regulatory agencies.
  1. Oversees aggregate Reports per service for submission and report to Leadership Team on a quarterly basis. (QA and Site Leaders)
  2. Monitor and provide oversight to the communication and collaboration with applicable governing entities (i.e., MCOs, DMA, VO, etc.) to ensure compliance, stable and productive relationships and responsiveness to needs, requests, directives and implementation updates
  1. Responsible for checking DMA and DHHS websites to ensure compliance with all requirements and keeping the organization aware of any upcoming changes.
  1. Complete quarterly site surveys using developed scorecards and utilize gathered information to implement quality improvement plans.
    1. Oversee and manage 30 day audits and reports
    2. Communicate CABHA and provider changes to MCO's.
  • Oversight of completion of QA committee meeting schedule and documentation. Business Operations:

 

  1. Actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of the Electronic Medical Records system.
  2. Assist CEO with Corporate Compliance Plan and ensure all procedures are completed within specified time frames and that confidentiality is upheld throughout the process.
  3. Recommends and participates in the development of organizational policies and procedures with CEO as requested.
  4. Attend and participate in weekly budget/finance meetings
  5. Assists CEO with oversight of performance of all departments
  6. Act as main point of contact for Site Leads. Report information to Leadership about needs and assist Site Leads with obtaining information or contacting other staff for answers to questions.
  7. Provides overall oversight and management of Mobile Crisis services with Clinical Director. Assists with questions, review of documentation and trainings if necessary.
  8. Oversees and handles overall management of Medical staff and Outreach staff.
  9. Communicates directly with them and reports information/needs/strengths to Leadership staff.

Human Resources:

  1. Investigate all employee related complaints as needed, delegate and oversee the document collection and submission for any regulatory agencies.
  2. Assist with the oversight of staffing and HR compliance to include new hire qualifications and evaluations.
  3. Assist with disciplinary action, counseling, or termination of staff members that break any company policies and procedures.

Assists with the management of employee termination processes by distributing final check, conducting exit interview, and completing exit checklist.
